The Niva village settlement is the municipality of the Krasnokholmsky District of the Tver Region , abolished in 2013.

The Niva rural settlement was formed in accordance with the law of the Tver region dated February 28, 2005 No. 32-ЗО. It included the territory of Bekrensky, Rachevsky and part of the Ivakinsky rural districts. The center of the settlement is the village of Niva .
The law of the Tver region dated March 28, 2013 No. 17-ЗО [1] Glebensky rural settlement, Niva rural settlement and Utekhovsky rural settlement were transformed by unification into the newly formed municipal formation Glebensky rural settlement of the Krasnokholmsky district of the Tver region. The center of the settlement is the village of Glebeni .
Geography
- Total area: 297.6 km²
- Finding: the eastern part of the Krasnokholmsky district .
The main rivers are the Boloteya, Pesochnaya, and Eglen.
Economics
Main farms: collective farms "Niva", "Neledino", "Mir" and "Kryukovsky".
Population
According to the 2010 census - 613 people, as of 01.01.2012 - 565 people.

Former settlements

History
In the XIX - early XX centuries, most of the villages of the settlement belonged to the Prud and Volodin volosts of the Vesyegonsk district of the Tver province . The eastern part of the settlement (beyond the Pesochnaya and Gorokhovka rivers) was part of the Yaroslavl province , Mologsky district .
In 1921-1923, the territory of the settlement was part of the Rybinsk province . [3]
From 1929 to 1939, the settlement territory was divided between the Krasnokholmsky district of the Kalinin region (Rachevsky and Kozlovsky village councils) and the Breyt district of the Yaroslavl region (Bekrensky village council ). Since 1939, the entire territory of the settlement belongs to the Kalinin region (since 1990 - the Tver region).
