Geography
- Located in the southwestern part of the Krasnokholmsky district .
- Borders:
- in the north - with Likhachevsky joint venture
- in the northeast - with the Gleben joint venture and the urban settlement Red Hill
- in the south - with the Sonkovsky district , Petrovsky joint venture , Gladyshevsky joint venture and Gorsky joint venture
- in the south-west - with the Bezhetsky district , Borkovskoye joint venture
- in the north-west - with the Molokovsky district , Cherkasovsk joint venture

History
In the XVI — XVII centuries. the territory of the settlement was part of Bezhetsky Verkh , where in the 17th century it belonged to the Antonovsky and Berezovsky camps . Since the XVIII century, the territory of the settlement included: [2]
- in 1708-1727 to the St. Petersburg (Ingermanland 1708-1710 biennium) province, Uglitsky province,
- in 1727-1775 to the Moscow province , Uglitsky province ,
- in 1766 Bezhetsky Verkh was renamed Bezhetsky Uyezd ,
- in 1775-1796 to Tver governorship , Krasnokholmsky district ,
- in 1796-1918 in Tver province , Bezhetsky and Vesyegonsky (since 1803) counties,
- in 1918-1921 to the Tver province , Krasnokholmsky district
- in 1921-1923 to the Rybinsk province , Krasnokholmsky district
- in 1923-1924 to the Tver province , Krasnokholmsky district
- in 1924-1929 to the Tver province , Bezhetsky district
- in 1929-1935 to the Moscow region , Krasnokholmsky district,
- in 1935-1990 to the Kalinin region , Krasnokholmsky district ,
- since 1990 in the Tver region , Krasnokholmsky district .
In the XIX - early XX centuries, the villages of the settlement belonged to the Putilov volost of the Vesyegonsk district and the Mogoch and Sulezh volosts of the Bezhetsky district .
The Barbinskoye rural settlement was originally formed in January 2006 and included the territories of the Barbinskoye and Starogvozdinsky rural districts.
The law of the Tver region dated March 21, 2013 unified the Barbinskoye, Bolsheragozinsky and Vysokushinsky rural settlements and created the newly formed municipality Barbinskoye rural settlement of the Krasnokholmsky district of the Tver region [3] .
