Sant Anastasia ( Italian: Sant 'Anastasia ) is a titular (since March 1, 499 ) basilica on the Palatine in Rome . The church was built in the late III - early IV centuries, possibly by a Roman woman named Anastasia. Later, the church was dedicated to the martyr Anastasia of Sirmia .
The church was restored several times, the church has its present appearance after the restoration of the XVII century. The nave is decorated with 20 marble and granite antique columns, possibly forming part of the imperial palaces on the Palatine. The ceiling is decorated with frescoes by Michelangelo Cherutti ( 1722 ), depicting the martyrdom of the saint. At the altar there is a statue of St. Anastasia Ercole Ferrat , clearly created in the image of “ Ecstasy of Blessed Louis Albertoni ” by Bernini .

The Church of St. Anastasia is a titular church , a cardinal priest with the title of the Church of St. Anastasia from February 2, 1983 to March 14, 2019 , was the Belgian Cardinal Godfried Dannels . Now vacant.
