Vyatka State University for the Humanities

In 1911, the idea of ​​creating a teacher institute in Vyatka appeared among zemstvo leaders. In 1913, the 45th Provincial Zemstvo Assembly officially supported this initiative.

On July 1, 1914, the Teacher Institute was officially opened, located in a building on the corner of Kopanskaya and Vladimirskaya Streets (now Herzen and Karl Marx Streets). In 1918, the Vyatka Teachers' Institute was transformed into a higher pedagogical educational institution - the Pedagogical Institute. In 1919, the Pedagogical Institute was transformed into the Institute of Public Education. In 1921, the institute again became a pedagogical one. A meeting of the institute staff with the chairman of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee M. I. Kalinin took place . In 1922, with the personal consent of V.I. Lenin, the institute was named after the leader of the revolution.

In 1923, the nationalized Botanical Garden of A. Istomin was transferred to the Institute. In 1924, the institute moved to the building of the former diocesan school - one of the largest buildings in the city. In 1925, a pedagogical college was opened at the institute. In 1934, the Institute established the faculties of history, physics and mathematics, the Russian language and literature, science, and geography. In connection with the renaming of Vyatka to Kirov, the institute changed its name from Vyatsky to Kirovsky.

In 1928, Mayakovsky was at the institute.

In 1939, the construction of a dormitory on Freedom Street, 122 (now educational building No. 3) was completed.

In 1941, the Institute of Foreign Languages ​​was transformed into the KSPI, transformed into the faculty of foreign languages. The institute itself is being evacuated to Yaransk and continues to work in evacuation. In 1949, a faculty of physical education was created at the KSPI.

In 1957, the institute received the status of the first category.

In 1962, the industrial-pedagogical faculty was created.

In 1964, the institute's swimming pool was opened.

In 1968, the institute was awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR.

In 1979, the elementary school faculty was created.

In 1981, the educational building was opened on the street. Lenin, 198.

In 1987, the faculty of advanced training and professional retraining of educators was established, in 1988 - the faculty of preschool education and the faculty of practical psychology, in 1991 - the faculty of cultural studies (currently the faculty of philosophy and cultural studies).

In 1995, the Kirov State Pedagogical Institute was granted university status.

In 1997, the Institute of Psychology and Pedagogy was established.

In 1998, the Institute of Economics was established; Vyatka State University has opened a college.

In 1999, the faculty of computer science was created.

In 2000, the Institute of Management Personnel was established.

In 2002 :

• By the order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation of June 11, 2002, the Vyatka State Pedagogical University was renamed into the state educational institution of higher professional education “Vyatka State Humanitarian University”;
• created a social and humanitarian faculty;
• the university was awarded the international award "Gold Ingot" as the oldest and most stable operating enterprise (the award was established by the highest Geneva Institute of Business and Management "INSAM" in conjunction with the Swiss Business Club).

In 2003 :

• the main building of the university on the street. Krasnoarmeyskaya, 26;

• Institute of Psychology and Pedagogy transformed into the Faculty of Psychology.

In 2004 :

• Institute of Economics, Institute of Linguistics, Institute of Management Personnel are transformed respectively into the departments of Economics, Linguistics, Management and Law;
• The construction of a training and sports complex with an area of ​​12 thousand m² on the street. Oryol.

In 2005 :

• overhaul of educational building No. 1 on ul. Lenin, 111, one of the oldest buildings of the university, built in the first half of the XIX century .;

In 2006 :

• the Volga-Vyatka regional scientific and educational center of the Russian Academy of Education was established;

In 2007, cooperation agreements were concluded with seven universities of the PRC, and an agreement on the 3 + 1 program with the University of Troy (USA) was signed.

In 2008, an agreement was signed with Heihe University (PRC) under the 2 + 2 program.

In 2009, by decision of the Accreditation Board of Rosobrnadzor of February 5, 2009, GOU VPO Vyatka State Humanitarian University and its branches in Kirovo-Chepetsk, Izhevsk, Vyatka Polyana successfully passed state accreditation.

In 2012, the innovation and educational center for space services at Vyatka State University

In 2013, Vyatka State Humanitarian University successfully passed state accreditation of educational activities for a period of 6 years and replenished the register of educational institutions accredited in 2013.

In 2014, Vyatka State University for the Humanities celebrated its 100th anniversary.

In 2016, the Vyatka State University for the Humanities was reorganized in the form of joining the Vyatka State University. ^[2]
