Biography

In 1457, after the death of his father, Prince Yuri Semyonovich Golshansky , Semyon took possession of the Principality of Stepan. In 1481, after the execution of his elder brother, Prince Ivan Yurievich Golshansky , Semyon Ivanovich Golshansky received the Principality of Dubrovitsy . In 1490 he received the post of headman of Lutsk. In 1494, Semyon Yurievich Golshansky was appointed marshal of the Volyn land. In 1500 - 1501 he held the position of the great Lithuanian hetman. He distinguished himself in numerous battles with the Crimean Tatars, who systematically raided the Grand Duchy of Lithuania .

As a result of a marriage with Princess Anastasia Semenovna Zbarazhskaya, he acquired possession in Volyn. Semyon Yurievich Golshansky in the middle of the 15th century owned the northern part of the Glussky volost and other estates. In 1511, after the death of Anastasia Semyonovna Golshanskaya over the Stepan principality, a dispute began between the great Lithuanian hetman Konstantin Ivanovich Ostrozhsky (husband of Tatyana Golshanskaya ) and Yuri Ivanovich Golshanskiy . As a result of the trials, Tatyana Golshanskaya and her husband Konstantin Ostrozhsky received estates (including part of Glusk, Golshan , Romanova, Kopysi , Barani , etc.).
