Kinpatsu Sakamoti
Sakamoti's book is described as a stocky, well-built man with very short legs. Particularly attracted the attention of the hairstyle: "he wore hair to his shoulders, like a woman in full bloom of years." One of the tasks of the Sakamoti instructor is to reassure parents who may not agree with the participation of children in the Program. Being a cruel sadist , he easily resorts to any means, including murder or violence. So, for example, he brutally murdered a former teacher, Mr. Hayashid, who opposed class registration for the Program. In addition, Sakamoti raped the head of the Catholic shelter, in which the main character of the novel, Sui Nanahara and his friend Yoshitoki Kuninobu, grew up . Yoshitoki, learning about the incident, lost control of himself and rushed to the instructor with insults, but Sakamoti calmly shot him for "opposition to the government." Kinpatsu Sakamoti enjoys what is happening in the Program, makes bets on the winner, jokes, scoffs and encourages children: “The last survivor can go home. He will even get a wonderful dictator autographed photo card. How nice, right? ”,“ I'm proud of you! ”
Yonemi Kamon
Yonemi Kamon in the manga is very similar to Sakamoti in character and behavior. He is rude, arrogant and spends most of his time eating and smoking cigarettes, and also listens to children talking at the monitor .
Teacher Kitano
In the film, he is the class teacher that was selected for the program. Teacher Kitano (played by Takeshi Kitano [1] ) is “a tragicomic, strange, incomprehensible character.” [2] He is not such a sadist as Sakamoti, and is more calm about the deaths of children, without experiencing such overt enthusiasm. Kitano has a daughter named Shiori ( キ タ ノ シ オ リ Kitano Shiori ), but he is in a bad relationship with his family and by the end of the film, his daughter even asks him not to return home. Kitano is not indifferent to Noriko Nakagawa , rescues her from Mitsuko Soma and brings an umbrella, "in order to save her from a cold when the tomb is already useful to most children." [2]
A reviewer at WeekEnd.Ru highlighted Takeshi Kitano’s excellent play in the film. [3] As they say on the site Kinomania.ru , the actor “plays laconic, hard, strong. You hate him and feel sorry for him at the same time. ” [four]
