Hargita ( rum. Judeţul Harghita [harˈɡita] , Hung. Hargita megye [ˈhɒrɡitɒ] ) is a Romanian county in the Transylvania region.

Content
Geography
The county covers an area of 6639 km².
Neamt and Bacau borders on the east in the east, Mures in the west, Suceava in the north, Brasov and Covasna in the south.
Near the resort of Tusnad there are the St. Anna volcano and the only St. Anna volcanic lake in Romania.
Population
In 2007, the population of the resident was 325,611 people (including the male population — 161,245 and the female — 164,366 people), the population density was 49.04 persons / km².
According to the census of 2016, the population of the Endeavor was 333,674 people [2] .

85% of the county’s population are Hungarians ( Szekes ). In terms of the percentage of the number of Hungarians in the structure of the population, the county ranks first in Romania.
