The Shturman Peninsula is a peninsula in the central part of the sea coast of the Taimyr Peninsula . It is washed by the Kara Sea , namely the Taimyr and Seeberg bays, as well as the Rastorguev Strait . 2 km northeast of the peninsula is the island of Kolchak .

The peninsula was named in 1940 in honor of the navigators of the Papanin g / s, who participated in a topographic survey of the peninsula [1] .
The western and eastern coastlines of the peninsula are mostly flat, the northern and northeastern, on the contrary, are rugged. The banks are gentle. The highest point of the island, Mount Yushchenko, is located in its central part and reaches 130 m.
The peninsula is uninhabited. Included in the Great Arctic Reserve .
