Pasturel

Pasteurl ( fr. Pastourelle ) is a kind of canson , a narrative song about the meeting of a lyrical hero (usually a knight) with a shepherdess ( pastoure ) and his flirting, often interrupted by the aggressive intervention of a friend of the shepherd.

The first Provençal pastoral model - L'autrier jost 'una sebissa, the troubadour Markabrue [1] - dates back to the first half of the 12th century ; later it spread to France. Existed until the end of the XIV century (for example, in Froussard ). There is one dramatization of the shepherd, the "Game of Robin and Marion" by Adam de la Alya .

In the lyrics of the Galician-Portuguese troubadours, this genre was rarely used. Pasturela ( port. Pastorela ) of the Galician troubadour Joana Ayras from Santiago represents one of the finest examples of the poetic art of the Galician-Portuguese troubadour school of the 13th - 13th centuries [2] . Three songs of this genre created the Portuguese "king-troubadour" Dinis I [3] . In the National Library Songbook , the author’s heading for the Galician troubadour Airas Nunes begins with Oí hoj'eu pasta pastor cantar pastore (B 868/869/870), in which the poet at the end of each stanza recited the refrain of four Cantig about a friend of other authors. Of these, we managed to establish the originals of the Galician troubadour Nuno Fernandez Torneol and the Portuguese juggler Joan Zorro ( Joan Zorro ) [4] .

At the beginning of the 20th century, it was attempted to be erected to a Latin pastoral , but now the autochthonous origin can be considered firmly established, although it is unlikely to be folklore , as was supposed in the 19th century ; rather, it arose as a humorous divertissement for a courtly song intended for the same public.
