Wyville, marmaduke

Marmaduke Wyville ( born Marmaduke Wyvill ; December 22, 1815 , Constable-Burton - June 25, 1896 , Bournemouth ) - English chess player . In the 1840s, he successfully played with G. Bockle in London , S. Dubois in Rome , L. Kizeritsky in Paris . At the 1st international tournament in London ( 1851 ) took 2nd place. Later moved away from the practical game. In 1883, Wyville was a member of the Main Committee of the London International Tournament.
