The administrative center is Canillo, a small town located 5 km from the ski station Soldeu . The main attraction of Canillo is the Ice Palace - Palau de Gel (25 m swimming pool, large indoor skating rink, gym, squash , sauna , gaming arcade, restaurant and cafe).

Sports
In 1997, Canillo hosted the World Hockey Championship (Group D) . It was the highest level hockey tournament in this country.
