Biography

In 1984 he became the champion of France in Formula 3 , from 1985 to 1988, he competed in Formula 3000 , scored two wins in 1988.
In 1989 he made his debut in Formula 1 team Ligier . For the year I scored only one point, the only one remaining in his career, for the sixth place in the home Grand Prix of France . Was disqualified at the San Marino Grand Prix for outside help during the start.
In 1990 he performed in the Osella team, was her only pilot. In 7 of 16 Grand Prix did not qualify, never for the season did not finish above 13 places. In 1990, Olivier Gruyard also made his debut in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race .
In 1991, he remained in the team, which received a new name - Fondmetal , after the head of the company Fondmetal Gabriele Rumi became the owner of the former Osella [1] . He passed the qualification in only four races, finished only once (10th place in Belgium ). In the Spanish Grand Prix, he played for the AGS team in its last Grand Prix in history, did not qualify.
In 1992, he spent the full season in the Tyrrell team, but in 16 Grand Prix he finished only four times and did not rise above the eighth place at the finish.
In 1993 he performed in the CART Championship, and later participated in the FIA GT and ALMS Championships . In 2000, he took the 4th place in Le Mans (partners - Emmanuel Clerico and Sebastien Bourde ) [2] .
