The NSU Academic Choir is an amateur student choir , one of the creative teams of Novosibirsk State University , a laureate of the All-Russian and diploma winner of the All-Union Choir Competitions, received and repeatedly confirmed the title of the folk group. [one]

History
In 2016, 45 years have passed since the founding of the NSU Academic Choir.
The official date of birth of the choir is considered February 25, 1971 . The creator and first artistic director of the NSU Academic Choir is Oksana Ilyinichna Vykhristyuk . Oksana Vykhristyuk graduated from the Novosibirsk State Conservatory and led the choir for 13 years. At the moment, Oksana Ilyinichna is the head of the folk ensemble "Krasota".
In 1984, Oksana Vykhristyuk was replaced by Svetlana Dick , who led the team until 1988 . During this time, the choir went on tour in Tartu , in Moscow and Tomsk . Svetlana Dick graduated from the Novosibirsk State Conservatory in 1986, is now the artistic director of the children's musical gymnasium “Orange”.
From 1988 to 1992 , being a teacher in the department of choral conducting of the OGC, the choir was led by Natalia Golovneva . With her arrival, the choir began to take part in productions of operas of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater , toured in Omsk .
In 1992, Natalya Golovneva was replaced by students of the conservatory Ilya Mikhaltsov and Irina Pshenitsyna . Themed concerts and romance evenings were held at this time.
In 1995, the artistic director and conductor of the choir was Afanasy Antonovich Yatsenko , a senior lecturer in the conducting and choral department of the Novosibirsk College of Music (he graduated from the conservatory in 1976 ). The choir’s performances at different venues of the city, at the annual international conference held at NSU , at concerts dedicated to Music Day and May evenings, become traditional. Since 1995, Olga Ivanovna Erofeeva , who made a huge contribution to the development of the choir , was the choirmaster of the choir.
In 2001 , while still a student at the conservatory, Daria Zorina came to the choir (as choirmaster ), and since January 2003 she became its artistic director. During this time, the NSU academic choir took part in the annual Days of Slavic Writing and Culture , the All-Russian Festival of University Choirs "Gaudeamus" in Izhevsk (2004), in the celebrations dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Victory - staging of the cantata of S. Prokofiev "Alexander Nevsky ”, In a musical stage performance at the Monument of Glory . In 2004, before going to Izhevsk, a choir camp was organized and held at the recreation center of the NSU in Burmistrovo.
In 2004, the first line-up of the choir recorded the CD “When We Were Young ...”. [2]
The choir constantly takes part in university concerts, masters concert halls of the Academgorodok and the city. In 2006, the NSU Academic Choir organized the Festival of Choral Singing as part of the International Week held annually at NSU , where the choral and ensemble groups of Novosibirsk , as well as Bratsk and Gorno-Altaysk took part.
Since 2014, the choir has been led by Ekaterina Kiselnikova.

The choir of Novosibirsk State University is actively collaborating with the department of choral conducting of the Novosibirsk State Conservatory . Students of the department undergo practical work with the choir, write diploma works , defend state exams with the student team of NSU.
Composition of the choir
Currently, the university’s choir consists of more than 30 permanent participants - students, graduate students and teachers of NSU . Over the years of the collective’s existence, up to several hundred people took part in its activities.
Repertoire
The choir’s repertoire includes a wide variety of genres of choral music - from Renaissance music , classical works to the music of 20th century composers and pop works in a four-voice arrangement. The repertoire is based on the works of European and Russian composers of the 16th – 20th centuries, such as J. Arkadelt , P. Serton , G. Schütz , J. Haydn , V. A. Mozart , F. Mendelssohn , R. Wagner , G. Foret , D S. Bortnyansky , M. I. Glinka , P. I. Tchaikovsky , N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov , S. S. Prokofiev , G. V. Sviridov .
Choir Performances
Throughout its existence, the choir regularly performs at various venues in Novosibirsk , such as the Great Hall of the Conservatory , the Novosibirsk State Philharmonic Society , the Novosibirsk Regional Russian-German House , the Palace of Culture of Railway Workers , both with solo concerts and taking part in large-scale cultural events held by the city and the regional administration; participates in opera productions at the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater . A notable page in the history of the choir was the participation in 2005 by Sergei Prokofiev of the combined choir and orchestra of Novosibirsk musicians of the cantata Alexander Nevsky to mark the anniversary of the Battle of the Ice [3] . In 2009 , the Universitetskii Choir was invited to take part in the production of A. Borodin’s opera “ Prince Igor ” [4] (the premiere took place on May 29, 2009).
