Career

Club

In 1972, Tardelli made his debut in the club of the Italian Serie C, Pisa, and in 1975, having played another season at Como, he moved to Juventus [3] .

For 10 years, as part of the “old Signora”, the defensive midfielder won a lot of trophies, including 5 champion titles, 3 Italian Cups and all 3 European cups - the UEFA Cup (Tardelli scored the only goal in the final match against Athletic from Bilbao in May 1977 and thus brought the first European trophy in the history of the club), the Cup of Cups and the Champions Cup.

In 1985, Tardelli moved to the Milan International , and 3 years later, having played another season in the Swiss St. Gallen, he ended his career as a player.

International

In May 1976, Marco made his debut in the Italian national team. Like his Juventus partner Paolo Rossi, the finest hour for Tardelli came at the 1982 World Cup. He scored 2 goals, one of which came in the final match against the German national team.

Coaching

At the end of his football career, Marco Tardelli became a coach. He has worked with various Italian clubs, including Inter, as well as youth teams from Italy and the Egyptian team.

In 2008, Tardelli became assistant to Giovanni Trapattoni as the coach of the national team of Ireland.
