History

The national anthem of the Republic of Bashkortostan was first approved by the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On the State Anthem of the Republic of Bashkortostan” of October 12, 1993 [2] [3] . The musical work The Republic, which later became a hymn, was written by composer F.F. Idrisov on October 11, 1990. The theme of the Bashkir folk song “Ural” [4] [5] entered the music of the anthem.

On July 6, 1999, the Law on State Symbols of the Republic of Bashkortostan was approved, which laid down the procedure for the execution and use of the national anthem of the republic [6] [7] .

Performed during the opening and closing ceremonial meetings and meetings dedicated to public holidays of Bashkortostan and the Russian Federation ; after taking the oath upon assuming office of the head of Bashkortostan ; during the opening and closing sessions of the State Assembly - Kurultai of the Republic of Bashkortostan , representative bodies of municipalities; during the official ceremony of raising the flag of Bashkortostan and other official ceremonies conducted by public authorities of the republic; during the ceremonies of meeting and seeing off visiting the Republic of Bashkortostan with an official visit of the heads of foreign states and heads of governments of foreign states and other cases prescribed by law.

The anthem can be performed in the official languages ​​of Bashkortostan - in Bashkir and Russian languages, in the orchestra, choral, orchestra-choral or other vocal and instrumental versions, as well as using audio and video recordings, television and radio broadcasts [6] .
