Kovarsky, Nikolai Aronovich

Born in Minsk, in the family of a pharmacist and subsequently prominent pharmacologist Aron Osherovich (Arkady Osipovich) Kovarsky (1872-1941) and Maria Osipovna Goldenberg ^{[1] [2]} . His grandfather, Osher Kivelevich Kovarsky (1844-1910), headed the trading house and was chairman of the bank in Vilna; his father’s brother, Mikhail Osipovich (Osherovich) Kovarsky (1875-1954), was the director of the Moscow Dental School (later dental, 1919-1923) ^[3] .
