Biography

Pupil of the football school "Temp" (since 1960) and the school "Dynamo" (Kiev) (since 1962).

In 1968 (until June) - as part of the Progress team (Berdichev, Zhytomyr region). From 1968 (from July) to 1970 he played for Avtomobilist (Zhytomyr) .

In 1971 he moved to Odessa “Chernomorets” , where he played 111 matches in three seasons, scored 68 goals, and twice (1972, 1973) entered the list of the best football players of the Ukrainian SSR . Especially Anatoly Shepel was successful in the 1973 season, when he scored 38 goals in the USSR Championship among the teams of the 1st league.

These successes were noticed by breeders of Dynamo Kyiv , where he spent the 1974 season, where he scored 1 goal in 20 matches, and entered the list of the best football players of the Ukrainian SSR (1974). In 1975 he moved to the Dynamo Moscow. For two years, the new club scored 14 goals in 39 games.

In 1978 he returned to Chernomorets (Odessa) , where he spent two seasons.

For the USSR national team he played 1 match in 1974. He also spent 2 matches in the winning season 1974/1975 for Dynamo (Kiev) in the Cup Cup.

He completed his playing career at the age of 30. The head coach of the team "Builder" Pripyat (Kiev region) - 1980-1981.

Head of the Dynamo Veterans Team (Kiev) since 1990. Since 1995, he has been working as the director of the football school DYuFSh ​​"Dynamo" Kiev named after Valery Lobanovsky.
