Norwegian University of Technology ( Norwegian teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet , NTNU literal translation from Norwegian: Norwegian University of Natural and Technical Sciences , translation of international title: English University of Norway . Located in Trondheim . The university is the main center for technical and engineering education in the country, but it also provides education in other areas. It was founded in 1996 by merging the Norwegian Higher Technical School (founded in 1910 ), the College of Sciences and Arts, the Museum of Natural History and Archeology, the Faculty of Medicine and the Trondheim Music Conservatory. NTNU is located on several campuses in different parts of the city.
