Club career

Marciano Wink was born on October 7, 1970 , a few months after the World Cup , his parents decided to name their son in honor of Brazil's Carlos Alberto . Marciano later moved with his parents to the Netherlands. It was in the Netherlands that Marciano began his football career, the first club of Wink was the youth club TOS Aktif, then Martiano played for the ADE club from Amsterdam. By playing for ADE, Martiano attracted the attention of scouts of one of the strongest clubs in the Netherlands, the Amsterdam Ajax .

From the Ajax football academy, Marciano quickly got into the club’s main team, in his first season, Marciano spent 2 matches and scored 1 goal in the 1988/89 season of the Netherlands . Since 1989, Marciano regularly appeared in the Ajax, in the 1989/90 season Vink became the champion of the Netherlands, and in 1992 Vink became the owner of the UEFA Cup , in the two-match confrontation Ajax defeated the Italian Torino . In the first match in Italy, which ended in a draw 2: 2, Martiano did not take part, and in the second match in Amsterdam, Wink replaced the 80th minute of the match, which ended with the score 0: 0; thanks to two goals scored on the road, Ajax won the UEFA Cup. In the 1992/93 season, Martiano became the bronze medalist of the Netherlands Championship, the owner of the Netherlands Cup and Super Cup . In total for Ajax, Marciano played 107 matches and scored 13 goals.

In 1993, Marciano became a player in the Italian Genoa . He had to leave Ajax because the head coach of the Amsterdam team, Louis van Gal , decided to substantially rejuvenate the squad that won the UEFA Cup. The season spent at Genoa turned out to be unsuccessful for Martiano: he played only 13 matches and scored 2 goals, and his club shared 10th-12th places in the Italian championship , hardly escaping relegation to Serie B.

In 1994, Marciano returned to the Netherlands and became a PSV player from Eindhoven. In PSV, Marciano was constantly harassed, in the last two seasons, Wink practically did not play. In total for PSV, Marciano spent 48 matches and scored 4 goals. As part of the PSV, Vink became the owner of the 1996 Netherlands Cup, the champion of the Netherlands in the 1996/97 season and the two-time winner of the Dutch Super Cup in 1997 and 1998. In 1999, PSV did not sign a new contract with Martiano, and Vink moved to a club that played in the second Dutch division - “ ADO Den Haag ”, because of competition in the composition of Martiano he was able to play only 5 matches.

After leaving ADO Den Haag, Martiano decided it was time for him to finish with football, but a year later he returned to professional football, becoming a player in South African Ajax from Cape Town.
