Biography
According to Klaus Larsen, Leæther Strip was, is and will be only him. Larsen was born on November 13, 1967 in Aalborg , Denmark . The first release as Leæther Strip was in 1989 . However, its 1995 release of GAWMUS included 2 early demos of 1982 and 1984 . In 1991 , Larsen created the side project Klute , in which he is also the only member.
It is believed that the sound of Leæther Strip during the 1990s helped shape the direction of electro-industrial . In 1994, Claus Larsen dramatically changed the sound of Le Stripther Strip in the soundtrack of Serenade for the Dead . Since then, dance-electronic elements have appeared, which Larsen calls "symphoelectro" .
Leæther Strip disappeared after the release of the single Carry Me in 2000 , at the same time the official site ceased to work. In a 2005 interview, Larsen announced that the group owed oblivion in the period 2000-2005 to disagreements with the label, as well as for personal reasons. [one]
On October 28, 2005, Leæther Strip released the EP Suicide Bombers via Alfa Matrix. Klaus Larsen has created an information blog . Next came 2CD After the Devastation , and in 2006 the EP Walking on Volcanos and Fætish were released .
On Friday , April 13th , 2007, Leæther Strip released the album The Giant Minutes to the Dawn . The album is considered by many to be the true return of the "classical" Leæther Strip [2] .
Through a YouTube video [3], Klaus Larsen announced that the first Leaether Strip The Pleasure Of Penetration album will be re-released on his own birthday on November 13, 2007, entitled Retention n ° 1 [4] . This release is the first of all his albums to be re-released on the Belgian label Alfa Matrix. Each reissue will have both the original version of the album and a completely rewritten interpretation with existing new technologies.
