Description

Gusinoozerskaya state district power station is the largest condensing power station in Transbaikalia and one of the largest enterprises of the Republic of Buryatia. The station provides electricity to consumers in Buryatia and neighboring regions, as well as thermal energy to the city of Gusinoozersk . [one]

The main fuel for the station is brown coal from the Okino-Klyuchevsky open pit and the Gusinoozersky deposit . The kindling fuel is fuel oil . [one]

The installed electric capacity of the station at the end of 2017 is 1190 MW [2] , the thermal capacity of the station is 224.5 Gcal / h, including the capacity of turbine units - 221 Gcal / h [1] . In 2013, the state district power station generated 4823.1 million kWh of electric energy (or 89.45% of the total generation of Buryatia), the supply of thermal energy for the same period amounted to 240.2 thousand Gcal [2] .

Since 2012, GRES has been a branch of JSC Inter RAO - Electric Power Plants, previously it was a part of JSC OGK-3 .

Chimney No. 2 reaches a height of 330 meters [3] .

History

The choice of the construction site for the new state district power station in the Buryat Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic was made in 1965 , while the use of Tugnui coal was justified as the main fuel. This decision was agreed at the USSR State Planning Commission taking into account two comments. Firstly, it was proposed to increase the design capacity of the state district power station to 6 power units of 200 MW each. Secondly, use brown coals of the Kholboldzhinsky site of the Gusinoozersky deposit. The design assignment of a state district power station based on Gusinoozersky brown coal was developed by the Tomsk branch of the Teploelektroproekt Institute and approved by the USSR Council of Ministers on December 8, 1968 (Decree No. 1335) [4] .

In 1972, the construction of a power plant was announced by the All-Union Komsomol shock building [5] .

On December 1, 1976, the first power unit was launched.

In 1981, a question arose about the quality of coal at the Kholboldzhinsky opencast at the station, and the ash content of fuel increased significantly. It was decided to reconstruct the boiler units of the first stage of the station in order to transfer them to dry slag removal [4] .

The first four power units of the station were commissioned from 1976 to 1979, the fifth - in 1988, the sixth - in 1992. In 1993-1996. reconstruction of power unit No. 2 was carried out. In 2013, technical re-equipment of power unit No. 4 was completed [1] [4] .

Since the start-up of the first power unit by July 23, 2014, the station has generated more than 140 billion kWh of electric energy [6] .

At the end of 2017, based on the results of recertification of power unit No. 1, the installed capacity of the power plant was increased from 1160 to 1190 MW [7] .
