Marino is a village in the Smolensk region of Russia , in the Glinkovsky district . The population is 14 inhabitants ( 2007 ) [1] . It is located in the central part of the region 4 km north-east of the village of Glinka , 16 km west of the R137 Safonovo - Roslavl highway, on the left bank of the Ustrom River. It is part of the Glinkovsky rural settlement.

History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler troops in July 1941 , liberated during the Yelninsky-Dorogobuzh operation in 1943 .
