Tsyrkun, Nina Alexandrovna

Born July 2, 1947 in Vladimir.

In 1969 she graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​of the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute named after V. I. Lenin .

In 1975 she defended her thesis for the degree of Candidate of Philosophy on the topic "Criticism of the Methodological Foundations of the Philosophy of Linguistic Analysis " (specialty 09.00.03 - history of philosophy) ^{[1] [2]} . In 1981, in the development of a theme, she published an article in the journal Voprosy Filosofii devoted to Ludwig Wittgenstein ^[3] .

Since 1979, he has been a senior researcher at the Research Institute of Theory and History of Cinema (Research Institute of Cinema) ^[2] . As an editor and compiler, she prepared the collections of scientific articles “Cinema of Western Europe and Problems of National Identity” (1985) and “Cinema and Youth Culture in the West” (1990) ^[4] issued by the Institute. He heads the department of studying modern screen art ^[5] .

Since the late 1980s, has been actively published in specialized film magazines “ Art of Cinema ”, “ Film Studies ”, “ Session ”. He has been working in “The Art of Cinema” since 1995 as an editor of the foreign cinema department ^[2] . Also included in the editorial board of the journal "Film Studies Notes" ^[5] . It was also published in general publications - in the magazine Itogi , the newspapers Kommersant , Literary Gazette , Nezavisimaya Gazeta , Segodnya , and others. Collaborated with the television departments of the film programs of the ORT and NTV channels ^[2] . In 2014, at the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography named after S. A. Gerasimov, she defended her thesis for the degree of Doctor of Art History on the topic “Socio-historical and aesthetic aspects of the transformation of a cinema comic in the system of American culture” (specialty 17.00.03 - cinema, television and other screen art).
