Luginovo is a village in the Smolensk region of Russia , in the Glinkovsky district . As of 2007, there is no permanent population [1] . It is located in the central part of the region 16 km north-east of the village of Glinka , 5.5 km west of the P137 Safonovo - Roslavl highway at the confluence of the Uzha and Dobreika rivers. 13 km south of the village is the railway station Demshchino on the Smolensk - Sukhinichi line . It is part of the Glinkovsky rural settlement.

History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler troops in September 1941 , liberated during the Yelninsky-Dorogobuzh operation in 1943 .
