Along Came a Spider is Alice Cooper's twenty-fifth studio album, his eighteenth solo work, released July 28, 2008 in Europe and July 29 in North America via SPV GmbH . Among the albums released after Hey Stoopid , Along Came a Spider took the highest place in the charts of Great Britain (31st place) and the USA (53rd place).

About the album
Alice Cooper first opened the album’s storyline on Nights with Alice Cooper’s own radio show: It is based on the story of a cool, calm and focused serial killer named Spider . [1] The police are puzzled by the bodies of Spider victims wrapped in silk, each of which does not have one leg. Spider's task is to collect eight legs in order to become a spider. But the situation is complicated when he falls in love with the eighth victim. The theme of a “psycho-terrorist female terrorist killer” has already been raised by Alice Cooper on Raise Your Fist and Yell . Also, the last minute of the album draws the listener to the famous character from the Welcome to My Nightmare album - Stephen (mentioned on the Hey Stoopid album).
Along Came a Spider was supposed to be released in 2007, but problems with the manufacturer’s employment and a busy concert schedule led to the fact that it was published a year later. Many songs and demos were ready and pre-selected already in 2007, and further recording was carried out in February 2008. In an interview, Cooper said that Along Came a Spider was 75% ready by April 18, 2008. [2] The first single, “Vengeance Is Mine,” debuted on Alice Cooper's MySpace.com page .
Slash and Ozzy Osbourne took part in the recording of two songs. During the tour, Alice Cooper's group consisted of: guitarists Keri Kelly and Jason Hook, bass guitarist Chuck Garik and drummer Eric Singer. The entire album was uploaded to Alice's Myspace.com page a few weeks before the official release. After the release of the album, only three songs were left.
On October 2, 2008, a 10-minute video was released, the storyline of which combined the tracks “Vengeance Is Mine”, “(In Touch With Your) Feminine Side” and “Killed By Love”.
2008 Tour
The 2008 world tour , entitled "Psychodrama", began on July 6, 2008 in Bulgaria and was the continuation of the tour of the same name (since August, only two songs from the album Along Came a Spider have been added to the list of songs. A tour called Along Came A Spider should begin in 2009 year .
