Biography
He received general education in the Oryol Bakhtin cadet corps . In 1885 he graduated from the Alexander Military School and was sent as a junior officer to the 25th artillery brigade. It was made on assignments in 1888. Headquarters Captain since 1895. In the same year he graduated from the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff . Since 1898, Captain Barsukov has been teaching at the Tver Cavalry School .
Since 1899 he served in the Main Artillery Directorate . Since 1905, lieutenant colonel . December 6, 1908 for the difference in service promoted to colonel [2] . In 1910-1915, for instructions under the Inspector General of Artillery, the ruler of the Chancellery, was a member of the GAU Artillery Committee, the commission for the compilation of artillery manuals and instructions, and the army transformation commission at the General Staff Main Directorate . At the same time he taught at the Officer Artillery School . December 6, 1915 for the distinction of service promoted to major general [3] .
During the First World War, by the Highest Order of January 5, 1916, Major General Barsukov was appointed head of the Office of the Field Inspector General of Artillery under the Supreme Commander-in-Chief [4] , and was chairman of the commission for the organization of heavy artillery for special purposes (TAON).
After the 1917 revolution, he sided with the Soviet government. From April 1918 in the Red Army , artillery inspector of the Western section of the curtain units, from September - chairman of the Liquidation Commission of the Western section of the curtain units and assistant military leader of the Western defense region, from October - assistant commander of the Western Army, from December 1918 to October 1919 - military leader Western District .
From October 1924, for special assignments, he was in the Military History Department, renamed in February 1925 to the Office for the Study and Use of the Experience of War, and in July 1926 - to the Scientific and Statistical Division of the Headquarters of the Red Army.
Since May 1932 - at the disposal of the Headquarters of the Red Army. July 22, 1934 dismissed from service.
Since September 1944 - retired major general of artillery.
He was buried in Riga at the Rainis cemetery .
