Career
A hockey player in the third generation, an extreme striker, a graduate of the Moscow hockey school "Wings of the Soviets." In 2006, he was selected in the second round of the Chicago Blackhawks draft, in 2010 he played in the AHL with Rockford IceHogs.
In December 2009, he was announced to Dynamo and took part in the playoffs, after which he returned to SKA for three years, and since 2014 he joined CSKA after a short game for Neftekhimik . In 2016 he moved to the Ufa “ Salavat Yulaev ”, where during this time he spent 94 games in which he scored 30 (13 + 17) points.
In the offseason 2018/2019 Ufa “Salavat” and Makarov by mutual agreement terminated the contract. After the viewing contract, Igor again replenished the Moscow Dynamo for one season.
