Osteoid hyperplasia - enhanced growth of osteoid tissue that occurs when rickets . This condition includes:
- formation of frontal and parietal mounds;
- wrist thickenings - rickety bracelets;
- thickening in the places of transition of the bone part to the cartilaginous on the ribs - rachitic beads
- thickening in the interphalangeal joints of the fingers with the formation of "strands of pearls."
Symptoms of osteoid hyperplasia predominate with subacute rickets.
