Jose Augusto

José Augusto Pinto de Almeida ; born April 13, 1937 , Barreiro ) is a Portuguese footballer and coach . As a player he is known for playing for Benfica , in ten years, Jose Augusto scored 175 goals for the club in 369 matches. As part of Benfica, Jose became the eight-time champion of Portugal and the three-time winner of the Portuguese Cup , and also twice won the European Cup in 1961 and 1962 .
