History
- February 4, 1952 - the "Resolution on the construction of Novocherkasskaya TPP" was published.
- In March 1956, preparatory work began. Sergey Pavlovich Koltsov was appointed the chief engineer of the station under construction.
- In March 1961, they began to build the main building. The construction of the state district power station was carried out by the Donbassenergostroy trust of the USSR Ministry of Energy .
- In 1963, the recruitment of the station began.
- On the night of December 22, 1964, the installation of the first block was completed, however, push the K-300-240 KhTGZ turbine, head. No. 14004, it turned out only a few weeks later, on January 16, 1965. And only on January 23 it turned out to start the block. After working a little more than 7 hours, he was stopped to eliminate defects. The first unit was put into operation six months later - all this time there was a debugging and troubleshooting.
- June 30, 1965 - the day of signing the commissioning act of the first unit - is considered the station’s official birthday.
In the next 7 years, construction continued - each year a new block was built.
Art. No. 2 turbine K-300-240 KhTGZ head. No. 14008.
- In December 1972, the last, eighth power unit was put into operation, and Novocherkasskaya TPP reached a design capacity of 2,400 MW.
- In 2000, the question was raised of the re-equipment of the state district power station, in particular, the modernization of boilers to ensure operation on low-quality coal and reduce emissions. In addition, the construction of the gas pipeline was completed, which allowed the two power units to run on gas fuel at full capacity and reduce fuel oil consumption in the remaining units.
- By 2003, the share of gas in fuel was more than 40%.
- In 2005, a new turbine was installed at the sixth power unit.
- On May 17, 2005, as part of the reorganization of RAO UES of Russia, the power plant became part of OGK-6 [3] .
- On November 1, 2011, after the takeover of OGK-6 by OGK-2, together with all its assets, the station was included in OGK-2 [4] [5] .
- In 2011, the 8th power unit was stopped for reconstruction .
New Construction
In May 2007, a stone was laid in the foundation of the 9th power unit of Novocherkasskaya TPP. Real construction began in December 2010 [6] , the launch was planned for the end of 2014 , but was postponed to 2015 [7] . The first test launch of the 9th power unit was carried out on February 1, 2016 [8] . The commissioning of this power unit took place on July 22, 2016 [9] . This is the first Russian power unit in Russia using circulating fluidized bed (CCS) technology, its capacity is 330 MW [10] [11] .
