Botanical Description
The rhizome is thick, short.
Stems at the beginning of flowering 20-30 cm tall, later up to 60 cm, smooth.
The leaves are large, twice-thrice-peristoreal, oval or triangular in shape. Leaf fractions are lanceolate.
The flowers are large, 4-6 cm across, intensely yellow, the petals are obovate or rounded 20-30 mm long and 10-15 mm wide.
Fruitlets shortly pubescent, about 4.5 mm long and 4 mm wide, with a short bent nose down. It blooms in late May and in June, bears fruit in June - July.
Distribution
It grows in the European part of Russia ( Dvinsko-Pechora , Volga-Kama, Zavolzhsky areas), in Western Siberia (Ob (south), Verkhne-Tobolsky, Irtysh, Altai regions), in Eastern Siberia (Yenisei (extreme south), Leno-Kolyma , Angara-Sayan , Daursky areas ), in Central Asia ( Dzhungaro-Tarbagatai district ). In Yakutia along the Lena , Amga, and Vilyu rivers, the productivity of thickets is 30–45 kg / ha ; in the Tuva Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic , 15–114 kg / ha.
The species is included in the red books of the Amur , Vologda , Irkutsk , Kirov , Kurgan and Chita regions, the republics of Buryatia , Komi and Udmurtia .
Medicinal properties
With a lack of raw spring adonis , it is used instead, but has less biological activity [5] . For medicinal purposes, the aerial part of the plant is used. The plant contains alkaloids (0.05%). In the aerial part, cardenolides ( strophanthin , convalotoxin , cymarin , K-strophanthin beta , adonitoxin ), vitamin C , flavonoids ( orientin , adonivernite ) were found.
In Altai, an infusion of herbs is used for dizziness . The infusion of the herb has a pronounced sedative effect .
Tibetan medicine uses an infusion of herbs for bronchitis and female diseases.
In Russia, the infusion of herbs is used for heart , nervous and gastric diseases . Depending on the place of growth, the cardiotonic activity of the raw material varies and amounts to 6.8-23.9 KED in Bashkiria, 21.4 KED in the Sverdlovsk region , and 1.2 KED in the Irkutsk region .
