Movie
The film is based on the biography of Eva Duarte , who, having arrived in Buenos Aires at the age of 15, managed to become a famous actress and marry Colonel Juan Peron , who later became president of the country. Eva, using her natural charm, became the greatest person in the history of the country, the attitude towards which in Argentina is still extremely ambiguous: later becoming the main spiritual leader of the nation, she pursued an extremely populist policy, actively helping the poorest segments of the population, although on the other hand contributed the establishment of tyranny and dictatorship in the country, which later led to the collapse of the policy of Peronism , pursued by her husband.
The director sought to reflect in the film at the same time both holiness and the ruthlessness of the main character, who brutally suppressed dissent, while generously donating money to the deputies' saddlers ( shirtless women ), the category of the population from which Eva came. Its history is the history of the struggle for power, for fame, for social justice, which gave birth to one of the brightest pages in the history of Argentina .
