Kirill Stanislavovich Benedictov (born March 2, 1969 , Minsk ) is a Russian science fiction writer, historian, and political scientist [1] .

Biography
Born in Minsk. At seven years old he moved to Moscow. At school, he became interested in ancient history. He graduated from the History Department of Moscow State University , where he studied the pre-Columbian civilizations of Latin America and the recent history of the countries of Europe and America.
In 1993 he left for Belgium , where he graduated from the College of Europe in the city of Bruges . He worked abroad, including in the OSCE . He defended his thesis on "The OSCE in the Balkans: the experience of political stabilization."
Now lives in Moscow. In 2009-2012 was the chief editor of the literary series " Ethnogenesis ". On the TV channel Russia.ru, his program “The Black Heart of Moscow ” was released, dedicated to the mystical places of the Russian capital.
In March 2010, Cyril Benediktov was awarded the Chekhov Prize of the Russian Writers Union. The presentation took place in the small hall of the Central House of Writers.
Currently works in the field of political analytics. He heads the intelligence department of the Terra America portal. He writes the author’s columns in the newspaper Izvestia , on the website of the RT channel (since January 2017 [2] ) and in the Internet newspaper Vzglyad .
Creativity
Benedictov has published several major science fiction works, more than twenty stories.
The novel "Testament of the Night" filmed in 2008 (director - S. Zhigunov ).
He also wrote the documentary “Union of Right Forces. A Brief History of the Party. ”
