Udham Singh ( August 4, 1928 , Sansarpur , Punjab - March 23, 2000 , Jalandhar , Punjab ) - Indian field hockey player , played as a striker. Three-time Olympic champion in 1952 , 1956 and 1964 , silver medalist of the 1960 games . A participant in the 1948 Olympics , however, due to injury, he did not take part in any match of the tournament. In total, he scored 14 goals at the Olympics. After completing his career, the athlete left for coaches. Headed the national team of India .
