Biography
Born in Voronezh on January 30, 1868 in the family of a pharmacist- pharmacist . [one]
He studied at the Voronezh gymnasium , then at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts , in the architectural department. In 1893 he was transferred to a student of the Higher Art School.
In 1896, Karl Ludwigovich successfully graduated from college and received the title of architect and artist. As an encouragement for good study, Mufke was sent on a trip to Italy , France , Germany and Austria to get acquainted with the best examples of European architecture. In 1897, he was appointed to the public service at the Kazan Art School , where he was its director until 1908 .
In the period from 1901 to 1909, Karl Ludwigovich worked as an architect and builder at Kazan University .
In 1909, Mufke arrived in Saratov . Immediately upon arrival, Mufke begins to design a complex of buildings at the University of Saratov .
Karl Ludwigovich Mufke died in February [1] 1933 (according to other sources, in March [2] ). He was buried in Saratov at the Resurrection Cemetery of Saratov.
The square and boulevard in Saratov are named in honor of K. L. Myufke.
Son - Konstantin Karlovich (1903-1968), theater and film actor, one of the first performers in the film to play the role of V. I. Lenin (The Great Glow by Mikhail Chiaureli , 1938).
