Explanations for the table

  • City is a city served by the airport.
  • FAA Code - The airport code assigned by the Federal Aviation Administration .
  • IATA code - IATA airport code . If the IATA code does not match the FAA code of the airport, then it is highlighted in bold.
  • ICAO code - ICAO airport code .
  • Airport is the official name of the airport.
  • Cat. (category) - one of the four categories of airports determined by the FAA based on the NPIAS ( National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems ) plan for 2007-2011:
    • PR : (Commercial Service - Primary) - an airport with a commercial passenger flow of more than 10,000 people per year.
    • CS : (Commercial Service - Non-Primary) - an airport with a commercial passenger flow of at least 2500 people per year.
    • RL : (Reliever) - general aviation airports located in large cities. Similar to GA airports. In addition to basing private aircraft, airports are used to unload large airports from small airplanes engaged in commercial passenger transportation.
    • GA : (General Aviation) - general aviation airports. The airport should be based at least 10 aircraft, but served no more than 2500 passengers per year. This means that most aircraft are owned and used by individuals, and commercial transportation is either absent or insignificant.
  • Pass./year - commercial passenger flow for the calendar year 2006 (according to the FAA report).
