Among the groups that performed and recorded Blitz songs were Rancid (“Someone's Gonna Die”), The Distillers (“Warriors”), Oxymoron (“New Age”). Twenty years after the breakup of Blitz’s first lineup, guitarist and lead author Alan 'Nidge' Miller put together a new band of the same name. On February 10, 2007, Miller was hit by a car on a roadway in Austin , Texas , and died on the spot.
