Siganus luridus (lat.) - a species of fish from the cigan family (Siganidae). It occurs in the Red Sea to the Persian Gulf , at depths of 2-18 m. It lives in large schools in shallow water above sand and algae. Up to 25 cm long. The body of the fish is oval, elongated. Has poisonous spikes on the fins . Prickling of this fish is painful, which is why they pose a danger to careless bathers, although their poison is not fatal to humans [1] .
