I'm fed up to the chin -
I even got tired of the songs!
To lie on the bottom, like a submarine,
So that they could not - swap!
A friend served me a vodka in a glass;
A friend said it would pass ...
A friend introduced - Verka was drunk:
Like, Verka
Will help, and vodka -
will save ...

History
According to Maria Raevskaya [3] , this is one of Vysotskyβs first addresses to the subject of diving into the underwater world, as well as an example rarely, but the motive of escapism that is present in his work. She suggests that, perhaps, Vysotsky wanted to distract from the problems surrounding him in reality at that time, and he conveyed this mood to the lyric hero of the song. Complicated version of this song, with a return to the motive of immersion into the abyss, she sees the song of 1977β78, βReal dream and delirium ...β, created after the motives of Boris Mozhayev βs The Fall of the Forest King .
In 1967, Vysotsky again turned to the βunderwaterβ theme in one of his most famous songs - β Save our souls! ".
In the story of the Strugatsky brothers β Ugly Swans β (1967) one of the versions of the song was given (with the consent of the author) [4] . There is an opinion that it is Vladimir Vysotsky who is the prototype of the main character of the book (who composed the song according to the plot), but βthis rumor can be considered greatly exaggeratedβ [5] .
