It was first played in 1937 . The first three decades were carried out irregularly (1937, 1950, 1954, 1958-1961). Since 1965, held annually. Officially, the status of the national Cup “Titan Cup” acquired only in 1985 - with the establishment of the San Marino Football Championship ( Italian: Campionato Sammarinese di Calcio ). However, all winners of the Titan Cup until 1985 are also considered holders of the national cup. The Cup of Titans is the official tournament of the San Marino Football Federation .
The team that becomes the owner of the Titans Cup gets the right to play in the 1st qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League (until 2009 - in the UEFA Cup ).
Tournament Formula
The draw of the "Cup of Titans" takes place in three stages. At the first stage, the 15 clubs participating in the Cup are divided into 3 groups of 5 teams each. Matches are held in two circles (each team holds 8 games).
