Biography
Grigory Borisovich Yagdfeld was born on August 24 ( September 6 ), 1908 in the town of Luga in the family of a local doctor. In 1909 , at the age of eight months, he moved to St. Petersburg with his parents.
In 1926 - 1930 he studied at the Higher Courses of Art History at the Leningrad Institute of Art History .
In 1929 he began his literary activity. He graduated from the St. Petersburg State Conservatory named after N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov ( SPbGK ) in violin. Member of the Writers' Union of the RSFSR, the Union of Cinematographers of the RSFSR, the Union of Theater Workers of the RSFSR.
In 1946 , the Central Committee issued a decree “On the magazines Zvezda and Leningrad,” which sharply criticized the play by Grigory Yagdfedd “The Road of Time”, the works of Anna Akhmatova , Mikhail Zoshchenko , Gennady Gor and other Soviet writers. All of them were excluded from the Union of Soviet Writers.
In 1958 he met his future wife Galina, with whom he would live until his death on January 11, 1992 . He died at the age of 83 years. He was buried at the Preobrazhensky cemetery in St. Petersburg [1] .
Heritage of Grigory Yagdfeld - plays for adults and children, vaudeville, literary and director's scripts, scripts of circus, pop performances, pantomimes and ballets.
