It has a length of more than 5 km (from west to east). Street width - 50 m, the roadway has 2 lanes in each direction. On the western section (from the beginning of the street to the intersection with Kirov Avenue ) in the middle of the street there is a lawn with trees, on the eastern section there is a tramway.
On the western section, the street is built up with three- and five-storey houses of the “Stalinist” type (in 1940-1950s) [1] , on the eastern portion there are five-, nine- and ten-storey houses, built in the 1960-1990s.

Until 1949, it had the name Second Street Bezymyanki [2] .

The street begins at the intersection of Gagarin Street and Dneprovskaya Street.
