Content
History
The cemetery was founded in 1750 . It got its name from the former village of Bogorodskoye , located on the left bank of the Yauza River . Entered the line of the city of Moscow in 1902 .
At the burial place of the first rector of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior in Bogorodsky , Archpriest A.T. Kolychev ( 1857 - 1907 ), a stone chapel in the Art Nouveau style was built.
Currently at the Bogorodsky cemetery family and family (clan) burials are being made.
Transport
From the metro station Preobrazhenskaya Ploshchad to the cemetery, trams number 2, number 7, number 11, number 33 and number 46. (stop "Moscow City Court").
New Bogorodskoe Cemetery
In 1992, in the Noginsky district of the Moscow region east of the village of Timokhovo, a new Bogorodsky cemetery was opened on which, in particular, there are burials of unidentified bodies of soldiers who died in Chechnya [1] .
