The Yam-Zapolsky world ended the Livonian war begun by Ivan the Terrible with the Grand Duchy of Lithuania for the possession of Livonia .

  • Ivan the Terrible refused the following cities of Livonia with all property belonging to them, and with volosts at these fortresses: Alist , Borzun , Velian , Volodymerets , Govya , Dinaburg , Derpt , Karslav, Kaulets, Kerepet, Kokenhausen , Kongot , Krutzborg , Lais , Laudun , Linnevard , Mukov , Livonian Novgorod , Paide , Pernov new , Pernov old , Polchev , Randek, Rinholm, Rivne , Salac , Skrovno , Tarvaz , Trikat , Chestvin .
  • The Russian kingdom returned the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth of the city of Polotsk and Velizh with old borders and boundaries.
  • Returned to the Russian kingdom with all the property and volosts of the city, captured by Stefan Batory in the possessions of the Russian kingdom : Velikiye Luki , Nevel , Zavolochye , Kholm . Also, the Pskov suburbs occupied in the possessions of the Russian tsar ( Voronech , Velje , Ostrov , Krasnoye) and the Pskov suburbs, which Stefan Batory could take later ( Vrev , Dubkov, Vyborets, Vysehrad, Izborsk , Opochka, Gdov, Mare settlement and Sebezh ).
  • For a period of 10 years, hostilities on both sides ceased.
  • The names of the cities of Livonia captured by Sweden (including Narva) were excluded from the contract, but the Polish ambassadors in a special statement mentioned the claims of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth for Swedish acquisitions in Livonia.

Value

The Yam-Zapolsky world did not resolve the contradiction between the Russian kingdom and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth , postponing their permission for a longer term [3] . In the Livonian War, Russia did not achieve its goals of mastering the Baltic states, ending the war within the same borders as it had begun. However, the long-standing enemy of Russia, an outpost of Catholic expansion to the East, the Livonian Order , was defeated and ceased to exist [4] .
