Formation Regiment
The regiment was formed on December 11, 1893 under the name No. 2 Cavalry Regiment of the Transbaikal Cossack Army ; On May 24, 1894, the 2nd Transbaikal Cossack Regiment was named; On October 21, 1897, the 1st Chita Trans-Baikal Cossack Regiment was named. On January 1, 1898, the 7th, 8th, and 9th hundreds of regiments were separated to form the 1st Nerchinsk Cossack Regiment .
On August 12, 1898, the regiment received its last naming - the 1st Chita Regiment of the Transbaikal Cossack Army.
Regimental holiday - March 17.
Shelf Campaigns
The Chita Regiment took part in the suppression of the Boxer Uprising in China and the Russo-Japanese War . During the First World War, the regiment was on the Caucasian front .
Regiment Insignia
- Regimental St. George flag with the inscription "For distinction in the war with Japan in 1904 and 1905", granted July 30, 1906
- Insignia on hats for lower ranks with the inscription "For Beitsan and Beijing in 1900" in the 3rd hundred, granted February 19, 1903
