The key owner of the bank until June 20, 2019 is Vladimir Kogan ^[2] . The Chairman of the Management Board is Konstantin Bobrov ^[3] .

The history of the bank began in late 1988 with the unification of a number of branch banks of the Republic of Bashkortostan:

1. Bashagrobank
2. Bashzhilsotsbanka
3. Bashprombank

In 1993, the Republican Bashkortostan Investment Bank was established in the Republic of Bashkortostan , which in 1997 was the largest bank in the region in terms of the number of serviced companies and institutions, dominating along with Sberbank.

Since 2002, the Bank RIKB Bashkreditbank was renamed OJSC Ural-Siberian Bank

Later, as a result of the consolidation of the banking business at different stages of development, more than ten Russian financial organizations were united under the single URALSIB brand: JSCB Avtobank- NIKoil OJSC, CB Bryansk Narodny Bank (OJSC), IBG NIKoil OJSC (OJSC), OJSC AKB Kuzbassugolbank , OJSC UralSib, OJSC AKB URALSIB-YUG BANK, OJSC AKB Stroyvestbank (and its regional banks). The project of combining the banking business in its scale and the number of credit organizations has become unprecedented both for Russia and the countries of Eastern Europe ^[4] .

After the merger, URALSIB became one of the largest banks in Russia, entering the Top 10 banking market ^[5] , the URALSIB brand was among the five most recognizable Russian banking brands ^[6] .

For a long period, the bank was the main asset of the Uralsib Financial Corporation.

In November 2015, banker, head of the Neftegazindustriya group Vladimir Kogan concluded an agreement with Nikolai Tsvetkov, the main shareholder of URALSIB, to acquire 82% of the bank’s shares.

At the same time, the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia approved a plan for the participation of the State Corporation “ Deposit Insurance Agency ” in the implementation of measures for financial recovery of PJSC BANK URALSIB. The Bank was provided with funds in the form of loans in the amount of 14 billion rubles for a period of 6 years and in the amount of 67 billion rubles for a period of 10 years. These activities will be carried out by Vladimir Kogan, whose commercial proposal was recognized as the best from the financial point of view in the framework of selecting an investor to participate in the financial rehabilitation of the bank ^[2] .

URALSIB Bank is a Russian universal bank with a developed branch network. The central office is located in Moscow . The Bank's remote central office operates in Ufa . The regional sales network of financial products and services of the Bank as of October 1, 2018 includes: 6 branches, 274 points of sale, 1,479 ATMs, 527 payment terminals, 22,981 POS-terminals ^[7] .

The main activities are retail, corporate (including SMEs) and investment banking business.

URALSIB Bank has the status of Principal Member of Visa International and MasterCard Worldwide international payment systems. The Bank is a member of the international payment systems American Express and Russian payment systems Union Card, Universal Electronic Card (issuing bank, acquiring bank, sponsor bank), NSPK. Currently, URALSIB Bank is a sponsor of more than 130 Russian banks in Visa and MasterCard systems, serving more than 1.85 million bank cards of partner banks, 9,000 ATMs and more than 18,700 POS-terminals. The total issue of URALSIB Bank cards of international and Russian payment systems (including cards of partner banks) is more than 4.5 million cards. URALSIB provides about 15% of the acquiring services market in the country. The Bank is the creator and operator of the ATLAS United ATM network, created on its own technological capabilities, which includes ATMs of URALSIB and partner banks sponsored by it in international payment systems ^[8] .
