Zune players come in two flavors - with a hard drive or flash memory . Both options are able to play music and video, display images, and also have an FM radio with RDS . They can share files with other Zune players via Wi-Fi , as well as with the Xbox 360 and PC running Microsoft Windows via USB . Zune can be synchronized with Windows via Wi-Fi . Recently, Zune is compatible with Mac OS X , apparently due to the fact that the new Windows Phone is synchronized with a computer using Zune Software.

Software Platform

In the Zune player, Microsoft used one of the variations of its embedded operating system - Windows Embedded .

For developers of games for the Zune player, Microsoft offers to use a universal set of tools - Microsoft XNA , which allows you to create games for the Windows, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Zune players.
