Biography
In 1955, together with A. L. Filozov, he was accepted by the field commission at the Moscow Art Theater School (course V. Ya. Stanitsyna ).
After graduation in 1959 he entered the Moscow Drama Theater. KS Stanislavsky . He worked with M. O. Knebel and A. A. Popov , played in the performances of A. A. Vasiliev (“The first version of Vasse Zheleznova, ” 1978, and “The Adult Daughter of a Young Man,” 1979 ).
In 1982, he left A.A. Vasilyev at the Taganka Theater , rehearsing the play by V.I. Slavkin “Serso” , which premiered in July 1985 .
From 1987 he began working at the School of Dramatic Art created by A. A. Vasiliev.
January 25, 1988 , returning from the evening dedicated to the 50th anniversary of V. S. Vysotsky , the actor was hit by a car and died of his injuries on May 14, 1988. The famous poet A.P. Mezhirov was driving the car that shot him down [1] . The data that the driver disappeared from the scene of the incident without providing the victim with first aid [2] [3] are disputed by his daughter Mezhirov [4] .
He was buried at Dolgoprudnensky (South) cemetery .
Yuri Grebenshchikov is mentioned in the dedication of A. Vasiliev ’s film “Not Coming” .
