Keren Ann Zeidel ( Hebrew קרן אן זיידל ) is a performing artist living in Paris , New York and Israel . He plays the guitar, piano, clarinet, leads and writes the parts for the choir and musical arrangements. Parents of the singer: father - Russian Jew , mother - so-called. Solo career
In 2000 , she began her solo career with the release of La Biographie de Luka Philipsen (Biography of Luke Philipsen) , produced by Lionel Gaillardin and Benjamin Biolet , who also produced her second album, La Disparition (In return, she helps him record his debut album , Rose Kennedy ). Together they wrote several songs for Henri Salvador 's best-selling album, Chambre avec Vue , including the hit “Jardin d'Hiver”.
Her third album, Not Going Anywhere, was released in 2003 , but a breakthrough in the US charts came only after the next album, Nolita ( 2004 ). Recorded in New York and Paris , the album is named after the Manhattan area ( Nolita ), half sung in English , half in French .
Lady & Bird is a collaboration with Bardi Johannsson , a member of the Icelandic band Bang Gang .
The Isis Project is a concept album written in collaboration with Guy Chambers and sung by Sophie Hunter .
Keren An's fifth solo album, named after her by Keren Ann , was released in 2007 .
