In September 2008, Hisham Talaat Mustafa was arrested on charges of ordering the murder of a singer ^[2] . The investigation established that he ordered the murder of his security guard, a former intelligence officer, Mohsin al-Sukkari.

In June 2009, the Egyptian Supreme Court found the billionaire guilty and sentenced him to death by hanging (which many did not believe before, believing that he would be saved by high status). An appeal was filed on July 10: Mustafa’s relatives offered Susan Tamim’s relatives more than $ 1 billion 100 million worth of money . After receiving this amount, relatives have the right to forgive the killer.

In September 2009, the Cairo Supreme Court commuted Mustafa's death sentence to 15 years in prison. The direct executor of the murder, Mohsin al-Sukkari, was sentenced to life imprisonment ^[3] .
